West Peoria, IL- March 16, 2026 - Bank of Farmington opened a full-service branch at 2506 W. Rohmann Avenue in West Peoria. It is the independent community bank’s fifth location and its second branch in the Peoria market.

The opening expands on the bank’s presence on the corner of W. Rohmann Ave and Sterling Ave. The bank installed an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) at the site in August 2024, giving area residents video access to a live banker-part of the bank’s broader investment in combining traditional community banking with modern technology. According to bank leadership, the community’s positive response to the ITM made the decision to open a full-service branch in West Peoria an easy one.

“West Peoria is a warm and welcoming community, brimming with pride, loyalty, and charm”, said Joseph L. Higgs, President & CEO. “It’s a place where families have lived for generations and where commitment to one another truly matters. That spirit aligns perfectly with who we are as a community bank.”

The West Peoria branch joins the bank’s existing Peoria location, at 7810 IL-91, across the street from Grand Prairie shopping district. The bank said this additional investment reflects a long-term commitment to Peoria.

The branch offers personal and business banking. Bank of Farmington, founded in 1903 and headquartered in Farmington, Illinois, also operates branches in Canton and Williamsfield. A grand opening celebration is expected this summer.
